In Scapezzano you will find an enviable panorama. If Cingoli is the balcony of the Marche, but after all the view from the balcony is only forward, in Scapezzano you will find a 360-degree panorama, and so if Cingoli is the balcony of the Marche, I would say that Scapezzano is the penthouse of the Marche.<\/p>\n<p>The first hints of Scapezzano\u2019s history are found in the archaeological finds on the Montedoro hill, dating back to around 1000 BC.<\/p>\n<p>Another important fact that Scapezzano sees is his participation in the Battle of the Metaurus, that is, that part of the Roman army, led by the consul Livius Salinator, waited to join Claudius Nero on the hills of Montedoro.<\/p>\n<p>And then the thing, the main thing from which what you see behind me comes to life, namely that medieval setting, happened in the mid-1300s, exactly in 1355, when the Bishop of Senigallia, Ugolino di Federicuccio, appointed Masseo de\u2019 Cavalcanti de\u2019 Pistoria as Captain and Lord of the Castle of Scapezzano.
