Its particular turret shape suggests a small lighthouse, a point of reference and protection for fishermen. Built in the 1930s, the aedicule is made of brick, rests on a brick base, and has a four-pitched roof. The main facade contains a glass niche enclosing the wooden statue of the Virgin. In 1991 it was restored and a red stone was added to the mess hall and the step below the statue.<\/p>\n<p>The shrine is a daily place of devotion and prayer.
